-
The 'Australian King Parrot' is a
beautiful green and red parrot.
-
These birds are very sexually dimorphic, with
the males having a bright red head and breast, while the female is more
generally green.
-
They usually travel in pairs or small groups of juveniles,
sometimes in a strange mix of confusing, undeveloped plumage colours.
-
They are
found in the rainforests and wetter sclerophyll along the east coast where their
high 'ching ching' calls may be heard as they zoom overhead.
